Stephen Erixon, the current CEO of LifePoint Hospital’s Wyoming market, has over 20 years of experience overseeing hospital operations and promoting growth as a health-care executive. Outside of work, Stephen Erixon is a member of the Rotary Club, an international service organization.
The Rotary Club abides by the motto, “Service above Self,” and lends its funds and its volunteers to specific causes. Through global grants, the club looks to grow local economies, encourage education, provide medical care for mothers and children, fight disease, and provide clean water, all while promoting peace. The Rotary Club chooses to focus on these specific issues to ensure its resources have the greatest chance of making an impact. In addition to putting an international focus on these specific issues, the Rotary Club supports the smaller, localized chapters of Rotary International that fund and perform volunteer work to contribute to causes that are close to the heart of individual communities. To promote its mission, Rotary partners with other major nonprofit groups, such as the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, UNICEF, the World Health Organization, and the United Nations.

The group as a whole grew consistently and expanded its outreach, promoting a commitment to service. In 1998, the Orchestra became the premier symphony for both Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia, serving a community of 450,000. Today, the orchestra comprises more than 70 musicians.
