About Stephen Erixon
Health care executive Steve Erixon has illustrated his characteristic ability to drive organizational change and increase efficiency. Most recently the President and CEO of Skaggs Regional Medical Center in Missouri, Steve Erixon has also held executive-level positions at medical centers in Arizona, Tennessee, Texas, and Illinois. During his time with Skaggs Regional Medical Center, Steve Erixon opened a new cancer treatment center and recruited 15 new physicians. Steve Erixon also generated noteworthy decreases in supply cost and Medicare length of stay. Under Steve Erixon’s leadership, Skaggs Regional Medical Center achieved CMS Quality of Care Indicators above 90% and received a distinguished hospital award from Health Grades. From 1998 to 2006, Steve Erixon was President and CEO of Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arizona.
Steve Erixon demonstrated both his thorough attention to detail and his strategic foresight while at Baxter Regional Medical Center. For example, Steve Erixon oversaw $35 million in facility additions and renovations, conversion to a Cerner-based electronic data system, and delivered patient satisfaction scores in the 99th percentile. Moreover, Steve Erixon redirected the focus of the center’s nonprofit foundation and raised $19 million in cash and bequests in only six years. In addition, Steve Erixon has served as a CEO at both Memorial Mother Frances Hospital in Palestine, Texas, and Columbia Bay Area Medical Center in Corpus Christi, Texas. Hospital Corporation of America in Tennessee and Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, Illinois, have also benefited from Steve Erixon’s dedication and expertise. Steve Erixon’s educational background includes time at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics. Steve Erixon also holds a Master of Health Administration from Duke University.
